Seeing this dog for the first time was a shock. His thin, broken frame told a story of extreme suffering.
Local residents had noticed him wandering the area for about a week, too weak to eat and clearly in pain.
Though some tried to feed him, his body could no longer handle food—an effect of long-term starvation.
Fearing he wouldn’t make it much longer, they reached out to our rescue team for urgent help.
When we arrived, it was clear just how dire his situation was. He could barely stand, and his body showed signs of severe neglect.
His once healthy coat was now faded and patchy, marred by jaundice, skin infections, mange, and flea bites.
Diarrhea and open wounds added to his misery, drawing flies and releasing a foul odor that spoke of just how much he had endured.
We gently lifted him and rushed to the veterinary hospital. Holding him in my arms, I could feel every bone, every labored breath.
He was exhausted, hanging on by a thread. His condition was so delicate that extensive tests or treatments weren’t possible yet.
For now, the only option is to give him medication, vitamins, and round-the-clock care, hoping his body will begin to recover.
It’s painful to witness such suffering, knowing we can only do so much at this stage. Still, we haven’t lost hope.
He’s being cared for day and night, and we’re watching closely for even the smallest signs of improvement.
In those tired eyes, there’s still a will to live—and we’re not giving up on him.
