A heartbreaking incident has brought attention to the ongoing illegal dog meat trade in Bali. A young puppy, affectionately known as MO, was discovered in distressing circumstances with her mouth taped shut and her hind legs bound by a shoelace.
It is believed she fell off a moving bike used by a dog meat catcher and had been left to suffer in the gutter until she was finally rescued.
Only five months old and weighing a mere three kilograms, MO was severely dehydrated and malnourished at the time of her rescue. Her plight has touched the hearts of many who are now hoping for her recovery.
