A stray dog faced a difficult situation when he was found tied to a woman’s trailer without any clear plan of what to do with him. For an entire month, the dog remained in that lonely spot.
Local animal rescuer duo Jessie and Breana rushed to the scene as soon as they heard about the dog’s plight. Upon arrival, they were shocked by his condition. The dog had been tied up for so long that the rope was severely tangled around his neck, and there was no choice but to carefully cut it loose with a knife.

The dog, who was greatly underfed and clearly craving attention, was thrilled to see his rescuers. Jessie remarked on how excited he was to finally feel some care and kindness. Once the rope was off, the dog displayed his happiness by jumping around with joy and energy, eager to explore the world around him.
Jessie and Breana took him to a shelter for a thorough health check. In no time, this cheerful dog, named Oscar Meyer, found a temporary home thanks to his lively and joyful nature. Kristin, who worked at the shelter, was charmed by him and decided to foster him at her home.

Breana told The Dodo, “Oscar Meyer was in our shelter for a week or two. That’s when my coworker Kristin fell in love with him and decided to take him home and foster him.”
At Kristin’s place, her dog Simba quickly became best friends with Oscar Meyer, forming a strong bond within just an hour. Oscar Meyer thoroughly enjoyed his new lifestyle, showered with affection from his foster family.

Over time, Kristin realized she couldn’t part with Oscar Meyer. “I knew I wanted to adopt Oscar probably after a couple of weeks,” she shared with The Dodo.
After a few months in Kristin’s care, Oscar Meyer thrived, becoming a happy and energetic dog. He loved playtime and socializing, all the while showing his appreciation by always returning to Kristin’s side for the love and care she continued to provide.
