A small puppy, left on a desolate roadside, had every reason to be wary and frightened. Despite her difficult situation, the puppy’s natural inclination to trust and love remained intact.
Animal rescuer Georgiana Neagu recently shared a deeply moving video showing the moment she discovered the abandoned puppy during her travels in Romania.
Initially, when Neagu approached, the frightened puppy ran towards her but then hesitated, hiding and whimpering. The pup’s previous experience seemed to have made her doubtful of receiving kindness.
However, once Neagu secured her safety, the puppy’s demeanor transformed. She joyfully licked Neagu’s hand, expressing gratitude for being given a chance to feel secure and loved once more.
Neagu shared this touching moment with The Dodo, saying, “When I saw her, I knew I had to get her. Every broken heart can be healed with unconditional love. In my arms, she felt protected.”
The circumstances that led the puppy to be in such a perilous situation remain a mystery. What is clear, though, is that her future now looks promising. Neagu revealed that she has named the playful puppy Paula.
“She’s a lot of fun, and she follows me closely,” Neagu said. “She’ll remain with me until we find her a permanent home.” At around 11 months old, Paula is a lively and joyous companion, looking ahead to a brighter tomorrow.
