When Zach Shaw first met Henry at the Tehachapi rescue center, he saw an elderly dog who desperately needed a second chance.

At 16, Henry’s coat was gray, and his energy levels were noticeably lower than the younger dogs around him.

The thought of Henry living out his last days in the shelter was too much for Zach, who decided in March 2021 to welcome Henry into his home as a foster parent.
