A year ago, an unexpected visitor showed up at our door—a dog in dire need of help. It was the first time a dog had come directly to our rescue team, appearing as if it had been waiting just for us.
Its eyes seemed to communicate a longing plea, and its condition was nothing short of alarming.
Covered in fleas, the dog had lost all its fur, and patches of its skin began to peel off when touched. Despite its terrible state, the animal displayed a gentle nature.

It closed its eyes, relishing the gentle caress, and rested its head in my hands, following me with trust. Though it was cooperative with a leash, any attempt to lift it resulted in distressed yelps, suggesting a fear of being held.
To soothe its anxiety, I tempted it with some tasty food, leading it gently into a cage for a trip to the vet.

After receiving treatment, the dog was brought back to our center, where we began its care regimen. Fortunately, its condition was treatable, though we wished we had found him sooner.
This affectionate dog quickly became attached, always seeking cuddles and attention, even making my other dogs a bit envious. I realized that this vulnerable creature needed extra tenderness and care.

Time flew by, and before I knew it, this once-frail dog had become an integral part of our family. As it transformed into a striking dog with sleek black fur, it was hard to believe how far it had come.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of when we first met, and we are celebrating with special treats. His face beams with joy, showing just how content he is with his new life.
