In addition to the neck wound, her right ear was also injured, possibly from fighting with other animals while she was fending for herself.
Once cleaned up, Candy’s small and frail frame became even more apparent. Shaving her matted fur revealed a body covered in ticks and other signs of neglect.
However, as her wounds were treated and she was cleaned, a glimmer of hope emerged. Beneath the dirt and pain was a sweet, resilient dog waiting for a second chance.
She was named Candy, a fitting name for her sweet disposition. With a fresh bandage on her neck, her physical wounds began to heal.
Slowly but surely, she regained her strength. The fear in her eyes began to fade, replaced by trust and curiosity.
Today, Candy is ready for adoption. Her physical and emotional wounds have healed significantly. Her journey is a testament to her resilience and the power of kindness.
