While I was enjoying the calm and beauty of the riverside, an unexpected sight caught my attention—a puppy was drifting alone on the river’s surface.
The small creature appeared isolated on the vast expanse, moving slowly toward a ship base with no stops downstream. As I found myself unable to reach it due to a locked door, panic started to set in.
Fortunately, help arrived just in time, unlocking the door. However, the swift current seemed to have carried the puppy out of sight.
Just then, a series of barks echoed between two ships, indicating the puppy had somehow found its way into the channel between them. Quick to act, nearby staff scrambled to find a net and successfully pulled the troubled pup from the water.
Once safely ashore, the little dog was visibly exhausted yet managed to imitate swimming motions with its tiny paws.
As the sun began to shine, those involved in the rescue worked together to dry him off, revealing an adorable pet likely cherished by someone. The question lingered—how had this little pup ended up floating alone?
With no clear answers, I took the puppy home temporarily and started searching for his owner. Initially resistant to walks, he soon began to enjoy our outings, frolicking happily.
Eventually, we found his rightful owner, who told us the puppy had fallen from a boat upstream by accident.
The reunion was joyful, with the puppy’s excitement unmistakable and another furry friend there to welcome him back. This touching moment concluded a scary episode, accentuated by the owner’s promise to be more careful in the future.
