We recently witnessed this universal truth unfold delightfully when a baby elephant indulged in innocent pranks and captured our hearts.
Wan Mai, a baby elephant, is at the heart of this adorable story. At Thailand’s Save Elephant Foundation, she shares her home with her mother, Mae Mai, and nanny, SriNuan.
This non-profit organization is committed to safeguarding the future of Asian elephants.
On one ordinary day, the elephant trio decided to beat the heat at a nearby river. While Mae Mai and SriNuan stood serenely in the water, mischievous Wan Mai had a different agenda.
Our little protagonist ran with a lifted tail towards one of her caregivers, spending playful moments there.
Afterward, she turned her attention to the other guardian, swimming against the river’s flow. In her excitement, she dunked her face into the water momentarily.
Eventually, Wan Mai perched herself next to one of her caregivers in the water, even attempting to crawl under the guardian’s belly.
Although her effort ended up with a thoroughly drenched Wan Mai, it added to the charm of the unfolding scene.
The playful episode concluded when one of her guardians decided to mimic Wan Mai, briefly submerging her face into the water. After their water adventure, the trio decided to retreat to the riverbank.
Back on dry land, the heartwarming tale continued as the playful Wan Mai tried to snuggle with each guardian in turns.
Despite her high spirits and playful antics, her caregivers displayed remarkable patience, cherishing every moment with the festive elephant.
